AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Virginia Agricultural Development Officers Group (VADO)

In 2010, VDACS formally established the Virginia Agricultural Development Officers Group (VADO) as a way to demonstrate the agency’s support for agricultural-focused economic development professionals and the localities that employ them.

Membership is comprised of local government employees titled as Agricultural Development Officers or Economic Development Officers significantly involved with agricultural development.

Staffed by VDACS, VADO meets quarterly at locations around the State for networking and professional development   The meetings also serve as a link between local agricultural development efforts, VDACS, and other economic development organizations across the Commonwealth.
