STATE FAIR OF VIRGINIA 2010
Caroline had to think about how she would market her lambs. She didn’t want to wait and see who just showed up at the county fair looking for lambs. Before the Fair, she contacted people who might be interested in buying her lambs. She prepared a letter and explained how she had raised them and cared for them. She included a picture of her with her lambs. She hand delivered the letters and invited buyers to come and consider buying her lambs. You’ll see a copy of Caroline’s letter above.
Not everyone does this marketing step, but it’s very important. By the time the people Caroline contacted got to the fairgrounds, they knew something about her and how she had raised these lambs. Hopefully they arrived at the fairgrounds already interested in buying her lambs.
