Contact: Elaine J. Lidholm, 804.786.7686
Consumers shopping at The Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex Virginia Grown Farmers’ Market in Chatham may now use their Farm Market Fresh for Seniors checks (vouchers) to purchase fresh locally-grown farm produce from vendors who display the purple 2012 Farm Market Fresh for Seniors signs showing that they are qualified producers.
“We are very excited to be involved in the Farm Market Fresh for Seniors program for 2012,” said Fred Wydner, Manager of the Chatham market. “We encourage senior citizens holding Farm Market Fresh for Seniors checks to shop the farmers’ market on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon and use their program checks for purchases.”
