Virginia Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services to Meet, Hold Two Public Hearings on December 8, 2016

The Virginia Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services will meet on Thursday, December 8, in Richmond. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the Virginia State Capitol, House Room 3. At 10 and 10:30 a.m. the Board will hold two public hearings.

Tentative Agenda:

  • Call to order and approval of the minutes of the July 20, 2016 meeting
  • Board Member reports
  • VDACS Commissioner’s report

Public Hearings:
10 a.m.           
Public Hearing – Proposed Regulations for 2 VAC 5-680 (Regulations Governing Licensing of Pesticide Businesses Operating Under Authority of the Virginia Pesticide Control Act)

10:30 a.m.      
Public Hearing – Proposed Regulations for 2 VAC 5-670 (Rules and Regulations for Enforcement of the Virginia Pesticide Law)

At the conclusion of the public hearings, the Board will resume its regular meeting

  • Proposed Revisions to the Virginia Animal Shelter Civil Penalty Matrix – Guidelines for Enforcement
  • Proposed Virginia Livestock and Poultry Law and Related Regulations Civil Penalty Matrix – Guidelines for Enforcement
