Contact: Michael Wallace, VDACS, 804.786.1904

Three Virginia companies will exhibit at Yummex Middle East in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 29-31. The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) Office of International Marketing and its Middle East trade representative are supporting the following companies in their participation in this international event.

  • LillyBean by PastryBase baking mixes and kits are made in Richmond with high quality ingredients. These mixes are gluten-free, vegan, soy-free, dairy-free and free of artificial color.
  • Mad Scientist Nuts, based in Portsmouth, creates flavor-infused, premium Virginia artisan peanuts.
  • Yogurt Powder Factory operates in Fredericksburg, producing yogurt powder and nitrogen ice cream bases to serve frozen dessert consumers all over the world.

Yummex Middle East is the leading confectionery and snack industry trade show in the Middle East and North Africa region. The show provides manufacturers of sweets, confectionery and snacks the platform to display their products and innovations to the region’s snacks and confectionery professionals. More than 8,500 visitors are expected to attend this year’s event, making it an important meeting place for the industry.

The VDACS Office of International Marketing and its international trade representative offices around the world help Virginia agricultural and forestry products producers identify and connect with profitable export opportunities. The VDACS Middle East trade representative has arranged meetings with international buyers for the exhibiting Virginia companies.
