Description: The Farmville Area Farmers’ Market provides the bounty of the area’s best farms. We offer a variety of fresh- from-the-farm vegetables and fruits, cheese, free range eggs, baked goods, jams, jellies, butters, honey, herbs, cut flowers, potted plants, garlic, mushrooms, pasture-raised chicken and turkey, pasture-raised pork and grass-fed beef. Many local artisans also offer handmade crafts, such as handspun and dyed wools, jewelry, candles, soaps, oils and other unique items.
Directions: Located in the Heart of Farmville at the Historic Train Station on West 3rd Street. From the west (Prospect/Pamplin/Lynchburg), take U.S. 460 east to Farmville (15 north) exit. Turn right at 15/W. 3rd street/460. Follow W. 3rd Street approximately 4 miles to the Historic Train Station on the left. From the east (Rice/Amelia/Richmond), take U.S. 460 west to the first Farmville exit (460 Business/3rd Street). Continue on 3rd Street approximately 3 miles to the Historic Train Station on the right. From the south (Hampden Sydney/Keysville), take U.S. 15 north into Farmville. Turn left at W. 3rd Street. The Historic Train Station will be approximately 3 blocks on the right. From the north (Dillwyn/Scottsville), take U.S. 15 south to the light for Farmville, turning left at 15/W. 3rd Street/460. Continue on 3rd Street approximately 4 miles to the Historic Train Station on the left.
Hours: Open year round - 4-6 p.m., Tuesday and 7 a.m.-12 Noon, Saturday, April-October; 10 a.m.-1 p.m., first and third Saturdays only, November-March.
