Description: Local farmers markets featuring produce, crafts, potted plants and flowers, pickled vegetables, relishes, freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes and pies.
Directions: From U.S. 58, turn north on U.S. 501 north, crossing the Dan River into South Boston. The market is on the left, just beyond the first traffic light on Broad Street. From U.S. 360, turn on Seymour Drive at the Exxon (left from the west or right from the east). Follow Seymour Drive to Broad Street, turn right. The farmers market on immediate left.
Hours: 10 a.m.-Sold out, Monday-Friday; 7:30 a.m.-Sold out, Saturday, mid-May-November 30.
Activities: Grand Opening second Saturday in June, 7:30 a.m. - bluegrass band. Cooking demonstrations by Extension, 7:30 a.m., Saturdays, August-September. Master Gardeners also have a Help Desk set up each Saturday, June-August.

Hours: 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday-Saturday; 1-5 p.m., Sunday, spring and summer; shorter ouse in fall and winter. Open March-December.
