Description:  The Blacksburg Farmers Market offers a wide variety of local produce, meats, eggs, cheese, honey, baked goods, cut flowers, plants and local crafts.
Directions:  From Main Street, Blacksburg, turn west on Roanoke Street, go 1 block to market.  The market wraps around the corner of Roanoke Street and Draper Road.
Hours:  10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, January-March 31; 2 p.m.-7 p.m., Wednesday and 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, April-October 31; 2-6 p.m., Wednesday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, November-December 31.
Activities: There are monthly events in the summer.  Check our Web site for details.

Directions: From U.S. 460 Blacksburg bypass, take Prices Fork exit west onto S.R. 685, Prices Fork Road, and drive west about 3 miles, passing M & M Tire Company on your right.  Proceed another ½ mile on Route 685, turn right onto Brooksfield Road at the Crows Nest Farm sign, come ½ mile on Brooksfield Road to Berry Parking signs.
Hours: 8 a.m.-12 Noon, Monday-Saturday; 3-6 p.m., Sundays; dependent on weather and ripening dates.  Updates posted on message phone (540-552-4195) June-October.  Call before coming.
Special Comments: Children welcome to pick with parents or guardians; no pets please. 
Products: Pick-your-own blueberries (late June-early August), pick-your-own thornless blackberries (early August- September 30), pick-your-own Primocane late-summer raspberries (late July-early October). Fresh-picked asparagus at greenhouses (April-June 15).  Call ahead - 540.552.5550.

Directions: Take Luster’s Gate Road to Taylor Hollow Road, cross creek, first gate on left.
Hours: By appointment.
Special Comments: We produce grass-finished beef in a responsible, sustainable manner.  Humane animal treatment practices are strictly adhered to.  All cattle in the beef program must be born and raised on our farm.  We do not use hormones, antibiotics, chemicals or grain.
Products: Grass-finished beef.

Directions: From I-81, go south on Route 8 towards Floyd.  Continue 2.2 miles and Sinkland Farms is on the left.
Hours: Tuesday-Sunday (closed Monday), May through October.
Special Comments: Sinkland Farms hosts an ice cream shop including a vegetable farm stand, as well as offering for sale many Virginia products.  The farm is well known as a venue for events, meetings, weddings and receptions.  The month of October is booked Monday through Friday with school field trips.  Many special farm events are sponsored throughout the season including the annual Chili Cook-Off in September and the annual Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival, which has been in operation for 15 years and is known as a family tradition in the Roanoke, New River Valley regions and throughout Southwest Virginia.  The festival takes place every weekend in October, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturdays and 1-5 p.m., Sundays.  Hayrides, crafts, local music, face painting, a barn of farmyard animals, antique farm equipment and tractor exhibit, pony rides, corn maze and a special toddler hay maze will entertain all ages.  You can select a pre-picked pumpkin or choose your own from 18 acres of pumpkins, squash and gourds, each one ready to grace an elegant fall centerpiece or becoma a snaggle-toothed jack-o-lantern.  Guests can sample kettle corn fresh from grandma’s huge old-fashioned pot or enjoy southern cooking from the Auburn Untied Methodist Church, all against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  The Sinkland Farms pumpkin festival is an annual fall tradition the whole family can enjoy.  You may even put a smile on a pumpkin’s face!  For other special events, visit our Web site.
