Description: The City Market, simply the best, is open to farmers, gardeners, bakers, and craftspeople.  All goods must be home grown, home baked or homemade.  Farmers in the Park, located at Meade Park on Meade Avenue, is open to farmers, gardeners and bakers.  All goods must be home grown or home baked.  Holiday City Market, offering handmade gifts, toys, jewelry, baked goods, greenery, wreaths, decorations and more, is located on the east end of the Historic Downtown Mall.
Directions:  The City Market is located in the parking lot between Water and South Streets adjacent to the Downtown Mall and is readily accessible from I-64.  Take 5th Street exit to Charlottesville.  Go 4 traffic lights to Main Street/South Street.  Turn right on South Street. Go 4 blocks to First Street.  Parking is offered in the lots surrounding the market.  Wednesday evening - Farmers in the Park is located at the corner of Meade Avenue and Chesapeake Street.  Holiday City Market is on the east end of the Historic Downtown Mall.
Hours:  City Market, 7 a.m.-12 noon, Saturdays, April-October. Farmers in the Park, 3-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 28-September 24, 2008.  Holiday City Market - 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday-Saturday, November until the weekend before Christmas.
