It’s not too soon to start planning for Virginia’s Farmers’ Market Week 2010. Each year, the first full week of August is designated as Farmers’ Market Week. This year, the week-long celebration will kick-off on Sunday, August 1 and run through Saturday, August 7, 2010. The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) is planning special activities for this year’s event, including:
Governor Robert McDonnell has officially recognized August 7 – 13, 2011 as Farmers’ Market Week in Virginia. Virginia Farmers’ Markets are the heart of the community and have a positive impact on our economy, health and environment.
