Virginia Agriculture Week is May 18 - 22, 2019

Schedule

Every day of the work week, staff from the Secretariat of Agriculture and Forestry and from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. 

  • 11 am - May 20 - Richlands Dairy (Dinwiddie County), a full-fledged dairy with a creamery that produces ice cream and other treats
  • 10 am - May 21 - Red Sun Farms, Dublin VA (Pulaski Co.) - a farm that utilizes the latest in technology to grow fresh produce year-round
  • 10 am - May 22 - Potter Family Farm/Cattleman's Market, Rockbridge Co., a traditional beef cattle farm that also has a meat processing plant and a retail shop
  • 10 am - May 23 - Alston Smith Agriculture, Research and Extension Center, Winchester, an education and research center that focuses on wine grapes, apples and other products; an extension of Virginia Tech
  • 11:30 am - May 24 - OnTheSquare Farmers' Market, Richmond, a producer-only market with special activities for Ag Week, located in Capitol Square
