Farmers, extension agents, permaculturists, leaders of 4H or FFA Clubs, and students at agricultural universities are encouraged to attend. We will have presentations on the latest cultivation methods of traditional fruits and nuts of the Southeast. Tour sites include visits to the experimental plantings and the Farmstead of the Future at the University of Georgia in Tifton, Fort Valley State University, the USDA Station in Byron, and a 40 acre pecan orchard. We will introduce you to non-traditional crops, such as pawpaw, persimmon, jujube, Chinese chestnut, chinquapin, olives, citrus, moringa, hazelnut, and mulberries. There will be information on marketing techniques that will optimize your sales.

Sponsored by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), the Virginia Food and Beverage Expo connects industry buyers with Virginia specialty food and beverage products. The trade event takes place once every two years to promote Virginia products and advance economic development.
Retailers, wholesalers, distributors, food service representatives and those in search of private-label brands will find hundreds of Virginia-produced and processed products that are properly packaged and labeled for the retail setting. Attendees meet one-on-one with producers, select new items and place orders right on the show floor. There is no cost to attend.
