Virginia Food and Beverage Expo Returns May 14, 2008
What is the Expo?
The Virginia Food and Beverage Expo is a one-day trade show that introduces Mid-Atlantic buyers in the food and beverage trades to hundreds of outstanding foods and beverages produced, processed or grown in Virginia. For more than a decade, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has produced this show as a biennial trade event held in even-numbered years.
Great Taste 2008 is the theme for the 2008 show which features approximately 100 Virginia companies that range from nationally known enterprises to small entrepreneurs. Since the initial Expo event in 1994, buyers in the food industry have come to rely on the Expo as the premiere marketplace to find conventional as well as innovative Virginia fare.
The Expo is not open to the public, and there is no charge to attend. No one under age 18, including infants, will be admitted.
Types of Products Featured:
- Processed Foods – bakery products, baking mixes, candies and confections, cheeses and other dairy products, chips, herbal products, honey, jams, jellies, pasta, gourmet peanuts and peanut products, popcorn, salad dressings, sauces and seasonings, soups, stews, syrups and more.
- Meats and Seafood – ham, beef, bison, blue crab meat, chicken, farm-raised catfish, clams, crayfish, emu, hams, lamb, ostrich, pork, tilapia, turkey and veal.
- Beverages – beer and wine, cider, juices, milk, coffee and tea.
- Organic Products
Who Should Attend?
If you’re a buyer or decision-maker in any of the following food and beverage trades, you will benefit from attending the Virginia Food and Beverage Expo.
The show is not open to the public, and there is no charge to attend. No one under age 18, including infants, will be admitted. This show is designed specifically with the buyer in mind and for the sole purpose of sourcing a variety of Virginia products.
This is an event celebrating quality Made in Virginia food and beverage products. Participating exhibitors will come from across the state of Virginia representing specialty foods and beverages including the following categories:
