COYOTE CONTROL

Coyote depredations were recognized as a potentially serious threat to Virginia’s livestock industries in the early 1980s. The Virginia Cooperative Coyote Damage Control Program is a cooperative program between the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS) Wildlife Services to provide assistance to livestock producers in an effort to minimize the impacts from coyote depredation.
