Office of Plant Industry Services staff members inspect and certify many types of plant
products for export. Produce, seeds, logs, lumber, trees and shrubs, flowering bulbs and
rhizomes, and many other unprocessed plant products may require a phytosanitary
inspection certificate before leaving Virginia to satisfy the import requirements of the
destination state or country.
Refer to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Export Services for information on
exporting plants or plant products from Virginia. For interstate shipments from Virginia,
the
National Plant Board website provides a summary of state import
requirements.

Industry Services directory.
