Disease Reporting
By Virginia regulation, veterinary practitioners, as well as those operating diagnostic laboratories, are required to report to the State Veterinarian on the existence of certain contagious and infectious diseases of livestock and poultry.
The reportable disease list is available in Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Reporting Requirements for Contagious and Infectious Diseases of Livestock and Poultry in Virginia.
