MEAT & POULTRY SERVICES

In cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Office of Meat and Poultry Services (OMPS) inspects meat and poultry slaughter and processing establishments in Virginia to ensure meat products made in Virginia are safe, unadulterated, wholesome, and accurately labeled. Inspection services are available to Virginia individuals or companies that slaughter and/or process meat or poultry products.
